Medical VISA is meant for foreigners who wants to visit India to seek medical treatment in established and recognized hospitals.
Medical Visa For Attendants
Medical Attendant Visa is meant for the attendant/family members of the patient coming to India for medical treatment. This Visa would be granted alongwith medical visa for the patient. Maximum two persons would be granted this visa subjecting to producing a letter from the respective hospital/treatment centres in India confirming that assistance is required for the patient coming to India for treatment.
Processing Time
The processing time for medical visa is 15 days after receipt of application
Eligible visitors can fill out application form by providing their full name, date and place of birth, address, contact information and passport information. Post validation of the security questionnaire, the e-medical Visa would be sent to the email address of the applicant.
Typically, the validity of e-medical visa is for 60 days from the date of arrival. The Indian medical visa allows 3 entries.
The visa rejection can happen if you have an infectious disease or do not have a particular vaccine prescribed by the country you travel to
- This visa is not renewable, convertible, or valid for visiting protected restricted areas
- Applicants must be able to support themselves financially during their stay in India
- During their stay, visitors must keep a copy of the approved e-visa everytime
- Every applicant must have their own passports and parents are not permitted to make join application alongwith their children
- All applicants passport should be valid for a period of 6 months after arriving in India
